I provide leadership and advocacy in relation to the direct role that physical activity can play in improving the health and wellbeing of older adults. Using the power of physical activity to recondition older adults, I hope to embed active ageing as a means by which health inequalities can be tackled, particularly in our region’s most disadvantaged communities.
The development of new partnerships and enhancement of existing stakeholder relationships is also a key part of my role as we work toward systems-level change and increased opportunities for older adults to be more physically active across our region.
